Hatfield chose to go with the Air Jordan V to honor one of the most iconic squads that we've seen play college basketball together. These Fab Five were Jimmy King, Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Ray Jackson, Juwan Howard and they all played together in the early 90s for Michigan Sate.
A few days ago we first saw DJ Khaled showing off his pair of the Fab Fives and the sneaker enthusiasts were questioning a release for these sneakers. It turns out the Air Jordan 5 “Fab Five” will serve as a gift from Tinker Hatfield to the friends and family of Jordan Brand. The 5s are dressed in a "amarillo/Black" colorway, that’s done up in suede. The sneakers feature a big “M” on the outside of each tongue and “Hail To” and “The Victors” on the inside of either tongues. The finishing touch is on the heel, where Hatfield included a new logo to signify the Fab Five. Get a better look at the sneakers below. Though these are already on Flight Club for $20K, Jordan Brand’s not releasing them to the public. They’re only for friends and family of Jordan Brand.
